Our Mission

Darlo Higher Education is Australia’s TEQSA Higher Education Consultants.  We are committed to empowering educational institutions with innovative solutions, expert guidance, and strategic support. 

Our Mission is to mentor and to guide new higher education providers and aspiring higher education providers on Australia’s TEQSA standards. We strive to ensure you are registered with TEQSA, are compliant with the TEQSA Threshold Standards, and have a viable and successful higher education operations.

Our Vision

To be Australia’s TEQSA Higher Education Consultants of first choice. Our team is committed to helping you build a higher education provider that meets the TEQSA Standards in the quickest and most straightforward way possible. Over the next decade, we will successfully support 25 new higher education providers gain TEQSA registration. The result will be of benefit to the provider, the sector, students, and Australia’s national workforce capabilities and capacity.

Who are we?

Darlo Higher Education is Australia’s most experienced and accomplished TEQSA higher education experts, consultants and advisors. 

In 2011, Darlo HE was founded at Parkville, the University of Melbourne.  Australia’s TEQSA higher education consultants was founded by Dr Brendan Moloney, a former TEQSA and University of Melbourne senior manager, as well as a team of ex-TEQSA staff as well as PhDs from the University of Melbourne. The team includes experts in governance, compliance, quality assurance, course design, policy, and higher education planning. 

Our main services include helping prospective higher education providers navigate the TEQSA standards, helping build governance boards, as well as conduct expert reviews. Darlo HE also provides training and insights and reports on TEQSA issues.

Darlo Higher Education is a specialist area of the Darlo Group that focusses on higher education compliance, regulation, and quality assurance.

Higher Education Trends

2011

In 2011, there was a push to semi-privatise the higher education sector, and a substantial growth in the demand and interest in establishing universities. This saw an increased demand for registration.

2013-2016

The establishment of a sizeable private higher education market with Darlo Higher Education being market leaders in supporting private providers. The creation of a new higher education market.

2017-2020

The Private HIgher Education industry had a temporary consolidation in Australia, where an increasing number of private higher education groups were registered.

2020-2024

The shutting down of the global economy, and a clear pivot for private higher education providers into online learning and blended learning. The re-emergence of a strong private higher education sector.

What does the future hold?

The Darlo Higher Education team are confident and optimistic about the great opportunities that are forthcoming for the private sector.
