sOur TEAM
Dr Brendan Moloney
Brendan founded Darlo Higehr Education in 2011. Previously, he worked in the medical faculty at the University of Melbourne and set up a research institute on Australian health workforce and workforce planning. He also was a lecturer and academic advisor to the Faculty of Engineering and Faculty of Arts, and Faculty of Education. Following Melbourne University, he worked in assessing and reviewing TEQSA registration and accreditation applications at the Tertiary Education Standards Agency (TEQSA).
Under Brendan’s leadership, Darlo Higher Education has been Australia’s most successful and impactful higher education consultancy. It is no understatement to say that DHE has been the catalyst to the astronomical growth of the private higher education sector, spawning countless imitators in the higher education industry. He has employed 100s of Australian staff involved in delivering higher education outcomes for Australia’s leading higher education providers and universities.
He holds a PhD from the University of Melbourne, and business qualifications from Melbourne Business School.

2011
In 2011, there was a push to semi-privatise the higher education sector, and a substantial growth in the demand and interest in establishing universities. This saw an increased demand for registration.
2013-2016
The establishment of a sizeable private higher education market with Darlo Higher Education being market leaders in supporting private providers. The creation of a new higher education market.
2017-2020
The Private HIgher Education industry had a temporary consolidation in Australia, where an increasing number of private higher education groups were registered.
2020-2024
The Australian Government tries and fails to amend the ESOS Act and its focus on education agents, and the reduction of vocational education providers. Building foundations for next growth phase in private higher education sector.
