In 2011, Darlo was started at Parkville, University of Melbourne, by a group of senior academics, and has since grown around the world.
Since that time, we have grown and now operate in the United States, Europe, and Australia. Our head office is in Austin, Texas.
With over 200 academics in our network (in Australia and the USA), we can draw on a range of Subject Matter Expertise (SME) for course design, as well as specialist expertise in higher education quality assurance.

Previous Trends
In 2011, there was a push to semi-privatise the higher education sector, and a substantial growth in the demand and interest in establishing universities.
In 2013-2016, the establishment of a sizeable private higher education market with Darlo Higher Education being market leaders in supporting private providers.
in 2017-2020, the push against private higher education, and austerity measures introduced by conservative governments and public servants around the world.
In 2020-2022, the shutting down of the global economy, and a clear pivot for private higher education providers into online learning and blended learning.

Darlo Higher Education is a global team of higher education experts, consultants and advisors. Our head office is based in Texas, United States, with representative office in Melbourne, Australia.

Our team comes from leading universities around the world include University of Melbourne, Oxford and Cambridge, and various Ivy League Universities in the United States.
